Mr. Patrick Kruer, Chair
California Coastal Commission
725 Front Street, Suite 300
Santa Cruz, CA 95060

Dear Chairman Kruer and Fellow Commissioners:

On behalf of the Concerned Residents of Pebble Beach, we want to express our gratitude to you and your fellow Commissioner’s for your recent vote to deny the Measure A initiative and to thereby preserve and protect the Del Monte Forest in Monterey County.

For many years, we have been working to protect the Forest from excessive commercial development. The thorough assessment of all the issues provided by you and your Staff resulted in the protection of the Monterey Pines in spite of what seemed to be insurmountable pressure for economic development.

We thank the Coastal Commission and Staff for their invaluable dedication to upholding the Coastal Act and ongoing protection of our treasured coastal environment.

Sincerely,

/ss/
