Dear Resident,

The Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on Pebble Beach Company's proposed resort expansion will be released for public review in late August, 2003.

This proposed development involves the largest group of new construction projects in the history of Pebble Beach - larger than the Spanish Bay project. It includes another golf course, moving the Equestrian Center, major expansions at The Lodge and Spanish Bay complexes and more residential development. It is vitally important that all residents take an active interest in how these projects will affect our residential community.

Our organization will respond to the Draft EIR in mid October with comments, concerns and recommendations and we invite you to participate in developing this response. Please complete the enclosed questionnaire and let us know if you are interested in helping.

The Concerned Residents of Pebble Beach is the only independent voice in the community on this project. We have distributed timely and informative material to keep you informed. In December, 2000 we developed the most comprehensive Web Site, www.cr-pb.org, on this project that exists anywhere. We have worked tirelessly to keep you informed on this important project and other County issues.

Your past support has been invaluable in keeping this activity alive. Once again, we need your financial support. Future "Mailers" and maintenance of the Web Site for the only independent presentations on this project depend on your willingness to help and your financial contributions.
