PEBBLE BEACH COMPANY' DEVELOPMENT PLANS

Thom McCue, County Senior Planner (Planning Department, 2620 First Avenue, Marina, CA 93933 -- Phone 831-883-7528 -- Fax, 831-384-3261) worked with a firm hired by the County, Jones & Stokes, Oakland, CA 94610, on the FINAL EIR. A separate analysis of the Measure "A" Initiative document was published on February 23, 2005.

The Pebble Beach Co. Development Proposal is contingent upon the Measure "A" Initiative being certified by the California Coastal Commissioners. Monterey County Supervisors approved the PB Co. development projects on March 15, 2005

Measure "A" was approved by County voters in November, 2000, and covers many changes for the Del Monte Forest, including zoning changes in Pebble Beach to allow for expansion of commercial operations in Del Monte Forest.

3-17-05 - A Monterey County Notice of Determination was filed March 17, 2005 indicating that the Supervisors have approved the Pebble Beach Company's Del Monte Forest Preservation and Development Plan on March 15, 2005.

Click HERE to read the complete Notice of Determination on this web site.

Supervisors also agreed to refer Measure "A" to the Coastal commission for ratification.

NOTE: As of March 23, 2005, the California Coastal Commission staff office had not received the PB Co. applications, the Measure "A" Initiative and required documents from Monterey County.

It is understood that Coastal Commission Appeal documents are being prepared by various groups in the County. When available, copies of these documents will be posted on this web site on the Coastal Commission page.
